Learn Easy, Practical Routines of Self-Care

Self-care is not just about visiting fancy spas, taking plenty of supplements, chasing trendy diets, charismatic gurus, overpromising healers or practicing exotic rituals. While pleasant, these expensive and confusing modalities may not be necessary and potentially harmful if we use them to outsource our basic, daily commitment to routines and habits of self-healing care. In my past practice of holistic medicine, I saw people intensively pursuing countless alternative healing modalities to cure their chronic disease, and they failed because they efforts were motivated by the rejection of their circumstances and overwhelming fear. As the saying goes: what we resist it persists, what we reject we actually empower. With that state of mind, all expensive tests, supplements and procedures ended up aggravating the fear and worsening their chronic diseases.
When you join me to practice self-healing care, we will explore your health situation, your inner/ outer resources and the expectations for healing. We will investigate your specific manifestation of self-healing and identify any disturbance of that process. Our mind and body support life by continuously healing themselves via self-regulation in order to maintain a balance (homeostasis), necessary for the optimal function.
That inner balance may be disturbed by the external circumstances, e.g., infections, accidents, genetic abnormalities, but most often it’s our unhealthy lifestyle which interferes with self-healing and causes diseases. That’s why chronic diseases, which represent majority of all diseases are categorized as “life-style” of “man-made” diseases. The self-care which supports our body self-healing in order to prevent and heal diseases is therefore designated as Self-Healing Care (SHC).
Healing with SHC is wholistic, involving always our three parts; the body, mind and spirit. Since these terms are popular and confusing let me explain their meanings which I find useful in assisting my patients:
The body; while it appears as physical to our five senses, it is made up energy which is evident in the ongoing transformations, re-growth with different speed for different tissues and organs in our body. This is a fundamental understanding for healing chronic diseases which appear as fixed and unchangeable. Any amount of self-healing care (SHC) positively influences transformation from the disease to wellness
The mind; the vehicle for our thoughts, feelings, emotions, creativity, analytical thinking, a powerful, complex and potentially confusing entity. It is thought to control the functions of physical body, yes to some extent, and the body has plenty of autoregulation at the cellular and tissues levels. The memories, habits, attitudes contained in the mind control, like an autopilot, our decisions and daily activities. However, that controlling mind is 95% outside of our ordinary awareness, that’s why is call subconscious mind. It is important to realize that the mind is a “non-local” phenomena which means that it is not confined to any anatomical structure, e.g. brain. It exists as an individual mind as well as the collective, universal mind. Our self-identification, our personality, our ego is to a great extent a product of our mind. This also include our self-identification as a sick person; when e.g. we morph from Mr./Ms. “so and so” to self-representation; “I am diabetic”, “I am bipolar.” This underlines how important is to rewrite the identity of sickness into the identity of wellness.
The spirit; certainly, the most important vital force which may be interpret by individual people as the witness, consciousness, Higher Self, God, energy, soul, etc. In the past it was possible to interpret the sprit as the life energy which was initiated in the mother’s womb and expired with the last breath. However, with advance in science of transgenerational genetic and the public availability of the sacred and religious traditions knowledge is hard to define the beginning and the end of life. In my self-healing a resort to the spirit as the highest Source of intuitional healing my Divine identity which was never born and therefore never dies. However, I meet clients at the place of their understanding of Spirit using it as healing resource for those who are interested in seeing that way. In that work I use my training in the interdenominational chaplaincy.
Partnering with you (my patient) in Self-Healing Care (SHC), I will offer many simple, logical and practical routines that utilize resources of the mind, body and spirit. We choose techniques which are aligned with your understanding, the intuitive wisdom of the mind, body and spirit. I will be choosing techniques from my powerful toolbox, as listed on “My Services” page. While different in content and format all these techniques are relatable to your intuitive wisdom of self-healing. As you experienced so much in your life, as you are overcoming your current health predicament you have all you need to heal as well. Using established techniques, I will be coaching you in making stronger what you already have and translating it into reliable, simple and powerful Self-Healing Care routines. You will be able to use these routines in your daily life; at home at work, in your relationship, in the supermarket and certainly with your interactions with the healthcare resources, including you doctors. This practicality and continuity of the SHC routines and habits are essential since healing, just like disease are not time-limiting events, rather there are continued processes. In order to heal chronic diseases, we have to heal our life. In order to retain wellness, we have to incorporate the routines and habits of self-healing-care into our daily life.
